DacEasy

DacEasy Accounting SoftwareDacEasy is a good piece of accounting software that could meet the accounting needs of many small to medium-size retailers. It has all the basic sections like Account Receivable and Payable, Inventory and Payroll and a few additional sections called Order Entry and Point of Sale.

The software is fairly easy to use with the few exceptions of errors that come up upon clicking payroll and inventory task (this may not occur for everyone). The navigation on the middle of the screen allows the user to move from one section to another with ease. But the icons could use some clarity by adding small permanent text to them instead of having the user hover on the icons to see its purpose.

DacEasy is a completely integrated package that handles general ledger, account receivable, account payable, purchase orders, billing, inventory, forecasting and invoicing.

DacEasy’s Inventory section allows the user to update products and services as well as track items by number but it can’t specify stocking location and to add descriptions for items. If keeping a comprehensive inventory is the most important thing for your business, DacEasy may not be the best tool for you.

This software however excels in sections like Payroll wherein you can manage your employee’s payroll and setup direct deposits to their accounts. This goes hand in hand with DacEasy’s Banking tool where a user can reconcile bank accounts, prepare deposits and make payments.

A free 30-day trial offer allows you to test DacEasy using your company’s specific data for a full month. A full version of DacEasy 2010 Accounting Single User will set you back $499.99 while the Network User Retail is prized at $899.99.
